SUMMARY:MEMORIAL SERVICE -- CORPORAL ESCA McCORD
DESCRIPTION:A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on September 22\, 2018\, at the Weaver Cemetery for Corporal Esca McCord. Corporal McCord was killed in action on September 26\, 1918 while defending the St Mihiel Sector. He served with Company H\, 359th Regiment\, 90th Infantry Division. \nEsca was from Weaver\, Texas. His parents arranged for the return of his remains after the war and he was buried in the Weaver Cemetery. The memorial service will include a color guard\, the Sulphur Springs High School Choir\, and  tribute speech the will include the reading of the names of 30 Hopkins County men who lost their life during WWI. \n
