FreeEvent Navigation
Learn about WWI and its impact on Texas at our colorful and engaging exhibit, “The Yanks Are Coming: How Texans Helped Win the Great War,” on display now through Thursday, Aug. 30 at Southlake Town Hall, in the lobby and the library. It’s free.
Exhibit hours are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Closed on Sundays.
We’ll tell you the stories of farmers, cowboys, tradesmen and small-town folk from around here who fought and their fates.
Also on display will be authentic WWI artifacts collected by a Southlake Carroll grad (now at UNT) who became intrigued with WWI at age 11 after reading a book left in a study hall.
The exhibit will take you to the battlefields and into the hearts of the families left behind. Come see for yourself.
Sponsored by the Southlake Historical Society under the auspices of the City of Southlake.
