EXHIBIT: WWI Artifacts at the Texas State Capitol Visitor’s Center

World War I Artifacts & Memorabilia Display
Please visit our free WWI artifacts and memorabilia exhibit at the State Capitol Visitors Center. The exhibit is part of the WWI events and exhibits presented by Travis County WWI Centennial Committee to honor Texan WWI veterans for the 100 year anniversary of the Great War.
The exhibit includes a collection of original artifacts from Austin families of all races including weapons, helmets, photos, medals, military ID card, diaries, and many other WWI artifacts. The wide variety of items are from a wartime regimental commander from the 36th Division, an assistant to the 36th Division chaplain, a nurse, a machine gun corps captain, a wounded veteran, and others who together represent the diversity of roles that help the Allies win the Great War.
This free WWI exhibit will be displayed until January 7, 2019 during the regular hours of the Texas Capitol Visitors Center Mon-Sat 9am-5pm and Sunday, 12pm-5pm)
