EVENTS: Poppy Planting at the Gillespie County Courthouse

Local school children and volunteers will place over 592 Flanders Field Poppies around the War Memorial Monument and in front of the County Courthouse, representing all of the WWI Veterans from Gillespie County who served. The poppies will be handmade by volunteers and painted by Ambleside School students. The 15 LARGE poppies will represent those WWI service members killed in action.
