Saturday morning, November 3 for us. We have sponsored and by then will have engraved and installed a memorial for an unmarked World
War I veteran in Fort Worth’s Oakwood Cemetery.

Above is the central part of Oakwood Cemetery in Fort Worth.
The yellow arrow indicates the front (and only) entrance along Gould
Avenue.
We will meet by 9:45 a.m. around the tree marked by the blue
arrow. Our program will begin at 10 a.m. By then the memorial
will have been installed only a few yards away.
The cemetery is being placed on the National Register of Historic
Places, and an observance for it will be held at the cemetery gate
beginning at 10 a.m. that same day. We want to have as little impact
on their ceremony as possible, so please try to arrive early. It will be
necessary for us to drive past and through the group assembled for
that commemoration.
