Johnson County Goes to War: At Home and Abroad During World War I

Free Museum Exhibit through February 28, 2018. Tue-Fri 10-5, Sat 10-4 at the Layland Museum.

The largest exhibit at the Layland in years marks the centennial year of America’s entry into World War I. Visitors can compare gas masks, weapons and other equipment that were used by American and German troops. Photographs and letters give a more personal view of the war as experienced by Cleburne residents. The exhibition includes a speaker series organized in collaboration with the Cleburne Public Library.
