San Antonio’s County Line Community Band will present a concert to commemorate the Centennial of the United States entrance in WWI, Friday, November 10, 2017 at the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW). The concert begins at 6:30pm at the UIW Luella Bennack Music Hall. Music for this concert will highlight music from the era and the contributions Soldier Musicians played in the war effort and on the front. Original compositions from the era will help audience members to relive the WWI experience in a unique way. The program will also educate the listener in a chronological manner as the songs go from the beginning of the war to its end. The County Line Community Band is under the direction of Toby Knight. Exhibitors and re-enactors will be on hand to provide enhance the WWI experience. The concert is presented as part of the Texas World War I Centennial Commemoration. More on our calendar of events.
